HEMMY'S is derived from my name, Hemmy Garcia. Ich bin Anfang der 80er auf Kuba geboren, als Sohn eines Vaters, der seit vielen Jahren tief mit dem Tabak verwurzelt ist. Kuba ist zwar meine Heimat, aufgewachsen bin ich jedoch in Deutschland, genauer gesagt in Berlin. Hier bin ich seit vielen Jahren lokal in der Branche tätig und gehe seit 2008 mit meiner Marke Hemmy’s als Unternehmer meinen eigenen Weg.
My training began in the picturesque town of Waldshut-Tiengen at Villiger & Sons. Dort hatte ich die große Ehre, von Heinrich Villiger zu lernen und an seiner Seite zu arbeiten. Seine Begeisterung und sein profundes Wissen zogen mich noch tiefer in den Bann dieser Welt und stärkten meine Leidenschaft. Über Stationen in London, Hamburg und Berlin führte mich mein Weg schließlich nach Kuba.
In der Manufaktur H. Upmann I was able to complete my training as a Torcedor (German: Zigarrendreher) and at the same time specialize in the subject of quality. This knowledge, shaped by Cuban tradition, Caribbean passion and a German sense of quality, is still a key unique selling point of my company today.
From these experiences, I have created my own brand Hemmy's. A brand like myself: honest, strong in character and uncompromising in quality. With an attitude for what you stand for and with your heart in the right place.
This is what Hemmy's stands for: enjoyment, quality and lifestyle. We want to create a brand where every adult feels welcome and at home. Whether beginner or professional. At Hemmy's, everyone is advised at eye level and always received with respect.

Our Hemmy's cigars are made entirely by hand in the ABAM manufactory in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Experienced tobacco craftsmanship from Cuba and the Dominican Republic meets selected tobaccos from leading growing regions. Every cigar is tested, stored and treated with the appreciation it deserves.
Hemmy is regularly in Santo Domingo and checks the production of his cigars with passion. Together with his father Manuel Garcia, an international authority on cigars with decades of experience in the tobacco industry, each batch is carefully checked and evaluated. The close connection to the manufactory guarantees that only selected tobaccos are processed. In this way, every cigar meets the high standards of Hemmy's.
Each Hemmy's cigar is unique, hand-rolled in traditional formats, individually tested and packed in solid wood boxes. The cigars have a remarkable ageing potential precisely because they are made by hand, the blend is balanced and they are carefully stored in solid wood. Over time, they become even more characterful and develop an individual profile that you can see, smell and taste. Caribbean origin, German thoroughness, worldwide quality. This is the essence of our production, day after day, batch after batch.

For the bottling of our rum specialties, including Hemmy's Rum Spirits and the exclusive Rum Cocktail, we work with Brinkmann Finest (external link), a traditional bottler and distributor of spirits from Germany.
Based in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the family business has stood for the highest quality standards, transparency and precision craftsmanship for decades. Thanks to this partnership, you can Buy Hemmy's Rum online and in Germany conveniently via our store or directly from Brinkmann itself with other spirits from their range.
Come to our store in Berlin-Frohnau for an individual tasting or order Hemmy's Rum in a smaller tasting size to take home with you. Each bottle is created on the basis of strictly controlled production processes, so that our Rum matured for 10 years retains its authenticity from the barrel to the glass.
Whether as a gift box, in a basket with one of our cigars or together with other gifts for a special occasion: Hemmy's Rum combines the depth of the wood barrel notes with fine aromas of vanilla, caramel and a subtle reminder of the spirit of tobacco.

Directions: Das Ladengeschäft befindet sich direkt an der Welfenallee, nur eine Gehminute vom S-Bahnhof Frohnau (Linie S1) entfernt. Auch mit dem Auto sind wir bequem erreichbar, in der näheren Umgebung stehen ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung.
