Hemmy's Maduro cigars are handmade premium cigars, produced by former Cuban Habanos Torcedores in the renowned ABAM factory in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Each cigar is made by two experienced cigar rollers: one shapes the filler, the other checks it and rolls the fine wrapper over it, which ensures a high quality of workmanship.
These cigars offer a unique flavor profile from four countries. The oily, dark 2008 Maduro wrapper from San Andrés, Mexico, has been aged for two years in rum barrels, giving the cigar intense aromas of dark chocolate and coffee. It is complemented by a Peruvian binder leaf from the Tarapoto Valley, which provides structure, as well as a filler made from strong Ligero and spicy Corojo from Nicaragua and tobacco from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic. This combination offers a balanced smoking experience with notes of wood, earth, roasted aromas, cereals and a subtle sweetness.
Due to the long maturation of the tobacco, Hemmy's Maduro cigars have enormous ageing potential, similar to fine wine, and become increasingly rounded and balanced over time. They are medium-bodied, full-bodied and ideal for lovers of intense, aromatic cigars.
The cigars are packaged in an elegant, wine-red matt lacquered solid wood box containing 10 cigars and are ideally suited for long-term ageing when stored in perfect conditions (68 % humidity, 18 °C).
Conclusion: A creamy, medium-bodied cigar with a lot of depth, ideal for discerning aficionados looking for an intense and balanced smoking experience.
