The Trinidad cigars were originally and like the Cohibas, reserved exclusively for the then Cuban leader Fidel Castro. Then in 1998 it became available to everyone when then available!
The blends of Trinidad are also balanced quite similar to the Cohiba. The tobacco is specially processed and matured, it has a very intense, balanced aroma with medium strength.
Since the trend is towards thicker cigars, almost all cigars of this elegant, classic format are now discontinued. The Montecristo Especiales, for example, is also still such a format.
